The School Transport Assistance Scheme (STAS), provided by the Queensland Government, helps eligible students get to school safely and affordably. Depending on where you live and your family’s circumstances, your child may qualify.
This is a great option for families living a bit further from school or needing a little extra support.
If you’re not eligible for a STAS Bus Pass, your child can still catch a CDC School Bus using a go Card. The go Card is a super easy and convenient way for students to travel. It’s simple to top and use and great for students.
For families living in or near Maleny, Immanuel Lutheran College offers a dedicated bus service via Landsborough, making it easy and convenient for students to travel to and from the College.

Every student needs either a STAS Bus Pass or go Card to travel. Please note: cash is not accepted on board.
Check out Immanuel’s current bus routes and timetables on the CDC Queensland website.
The best place to check is the Queensland Government’s School Transport Assistance Scheme (STAS) page. It only takes a few minutes to see if your family qualifies.
Once you know you’re eligible, you can complete the application online via the CDC Queensland website.
No problem at all. You can purchase a goCard from a local retailer. Once you’ve got one, register it online and set up auto top-up – that way, your child is always ready to ride.
