PRIMARY SCHOOL

Where Kids
Love to Learn

PREP TO YEAR 6 AT IMMANUEL

A PRIMARY SCHOOL EXPERIENCE THAT FEELS JUST RIGHT

From Prep to Year 6, our Primary School is where your child will feel truly known, seen, supported, and excited to come to school each day. We balance academic growth with confidence, curiosity and care, creating a space where every student feels safe to stretch, stumble and shine.

These years aren’t about racing ahead – they’re about laying the foundation for life. The way they learn, connect and grow now shapes how they’ll show up in the world later. From the moment your child steps onto our campus, they’ll be encouraged to think big, given the freedom to try new things, and guided to grow in a way that’s true to them.

BIG STARTS, BRIGHT FUTURES

HELPING KIDS FALL IN LOVE WITH LEARNING

At Immanuel, we believe learning should be exciting, meaningful, and full of momentum. That’s why we combine solid academic foundations with a balance of innovative and evidence-based programs that give kids room to explore, question, and grow.

From flexible classrooms that open up for whole-year collaboration to smart tech use that enhances hands-on learning, our spaces are designed to move with the needs of young learners – not hold them back.

Our teachers take the time to get to know your child – what motivates them, when they need encouragement, and how to keep them engaged. It’s this genuine connection and care that builds confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning that lasts well beyond the Primary years.

READY FOR ANYTHING

Not Just For now – PREPARED FOR LIFE

At Immanuel, we’re not just teaching facts – we’re teaching kids how to think, create and lead. We combine strong foundations with future-ready tools, like mobile tech and flexible learning spaces, to build real-world skills from the start.

Students tackle big questions and real issues, learn to solve problems, work with others, and think beyond the classroom.

Guided by Christian values, we also teach empathy, integrity and purpose – because knowing how to learn is just as important as knowing why.

We’re raising confident, capable kids who are ready for whatever comes next.

More Than ABC’s and 123’s

A Rich and Diverse Curriculum

We teach all the essentials – English, Maths, Science, HASS, Health, Technologies and Christian Studies – in line with the latest Australian Curriculum. But more than that, we make it meaningful. Specialist teachers in The Arts, Languages and PE bring energy, expertise and a fresh perspective, making every lesson engaging and relevant for your child.

We keep things engaging with hands-on activities, variety, and plenty of fun along the way. Our teachers go the extra mile to make learning memorable – bringing energy, creativity and care into every lesson.

Beyond the classroom, students can explore a wide range of cocurricular opportunities in Sports, community engagement, the Arts and environmental programs – all helping to build confident, well-rounded learners.

Happy Kids Learn Better

Wellbeing First, Always

We know that for kids to do well in class, they need to feel good about themselves and their place in the world. Our wellbeing program is all about making sure every child feels safe, supported, and valued. We teach kids how to bounce back from setbacks, manage their emotions, and build healthy relationships.

Our robust Wellbeing Team, including our School Counsellors, Support Dog, Lucy, our Youth Worker, and Chaplain, are always there to lend an ear or offer support. We keep an eye out for kids who might be struggling and step in to help before small issues become big ones. At Immanuel, we’re not just focused on academic smarts – we’re helping shape well-rounded, confident kids ready to take on life’s challenges.

CONNECTION THAT STARTS FROM DAY ONE

HOUSE GROUPS IN PRIMARY SCHOOL

From Prep right through to Year 12 graduation, every student at Immanuel belongs to a House. And from the moment they slip on their House colours, they feel it: I belong here.

Whether they’re a Moreton Crocodile, Stradbroke Shark, K’gari Dingo or Bribie Kangaroo, students quickly learn that House life is more than just sport carnivals and talent shows (though we love those too). It’s a powerful part of our Primary community, bringing students together to collaborate, cheer each other on, and share joyful moments that create lasting connections.

House Groups add a layer of support that reaches beyond the classroom. They help students grow in confidence, feel part of a team, and build meaningful relationships across year levels.

Whether it’s earning points in school-wide activities, stepping up for a team event, or simply showing House spirit, every student has a chance to feel seen and valued.

It’s all part of our commitment to wellbeing. Because when students feel connected and supported—they show up with confidence, joy and a strong sense of who they are.

Tomorrow’s Leaders, Today

Learning to Lead Starts Early

We believe leadership isn’t for the loudest voice in the room – it’s about courage, kindness, and stepping up when it counts.

From Prep onwards, students are given real opportunities to lead, whether it’s through classroom roles, buddy programs, team service learning projects, or leadership positions in Year 6. Along the way, they learn to communicate clearly, collaborate confidently, and make thoughtful choices.

These are skills that carry far beyond the classroom. And they start building them from the day they begin at Immanuel.

CONFIDENT, SAFE AND TECH-SMART

Learning in a Digital World

At Immanuel, we use technology to enhance learning – not replace it. From Prep, every student is assigned their own iPad for classroom use. As they get older, they begin taking it home, building independence in how they learn and use technology.

Our classrooms are equipped with flexible tech tools that support collaboration and creativity. Students easily share screens, work together, and use digital tools to bring learning to life. But it’s not about gadgets – it’s about giving students the skills to use technology with confidence and purpose.

Right from the start, we teach kids how to stay safe online, think critically, and use tech in a way that’s respectful, responsible and smart. Because in a world full of screens, it’s how you use them that matters.

Green Thinking, Bright Future

Caring for Our World

We don’t just inspire future entrepreneurs; we’re shaping a generation that cares – and takes action.

Our 23-hectare rainforest campus is more than beautiful – it’s a giant outdoor classroom. Here, students explore nature up close and learn what it means to take care of it.

Through environmental programs, sustainability projects, our recycling initiatives and Eco Club, students are encouraged to think critically about the world around them – and their role in protecting it. From everyday habits to big-picture thinking, we’re building lifelong awareness and responsibility.

We know that raising environmentally-aware kids doesn’t just happen in science lessons – it’s built into how we live, learn and lead together.

Giving Back, Moving Forward

REAL-WORLD KINDNESS. REAL-LIFE IMPACT.

Helping others isn’t something we save for later – it’s woven into everyday life at Immanuel. Through our service learning program, students take part in meaningful projects that show them just how powerful a simple act of kindness can be.

From serving members of our College community to sharing stories and garden time with residents at Immanuel Gardens, our students connect with people across generations and walks of life. They also get behind fundraising initiatives that support both local and global causes – learning that giving back doesn’t have to be big to make a difference.

Volunteering and serving is not about ticking a box. It’s about raising thoughtful, compassionate kids who understand the world around them – and their ability to shape it for the better.

Growing Together

Beyond the Classroom

Primary school camps at Immanuel are more than just a fun getaway — they’re a meaningful part of how we help children grow into capable, caring and confident young people.

Through outdoor adventures, shared challenges and time in nature, students build resilience, learn to work as a team and discover more about themselves. These experiences spark joy, strengthen friendships and gently encourage independence, laying the foundation for personal growth that lasts a lifetime.

Camps are a special part of childhood, and at Immanuel, they’re also a stepping stone in shaping whole, well-rounded individuals.
