SECONDARY SCHOOL
Where Potential TURNS INTO PURPOSE
Known. Challenged. Backed all the way.
Purposeful Learning in a Supportive Environment
At Immanuel, we’re not just preparing students for the next exam. We’re setting them up for what comes after school and well beyond. From Year 7 to Year 12, every student is seen, supported, and stretched in all the right ways.
Our teachers take the time to know your child — their strengths, struggles, and spark. And that’s what makes the difference. In our purpose-built Senior School Campus, students are given independence with support, and the space to step into who they’re becoming.
Here, they’re not just part of a system. They’re part of a community that genuinely wants them to succeed.
Academic Excellence with Real-World Impact
Challenging Minds, Nurturing Character
We set the bar high, but we know learning isn’t one-size-fits-all. Our curriculum builds strong foundations in critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving, while keeping students connected to real-world ideas and outcomes.
Whether your child is university-bound, trade-focused, or still figuring it out, we help them find the path that fits. With Subject Matter Experts on staff, we offer expert academic support — without losing sight of the bigger picture.
Because success isn’t just a score. It’s about confidence, capability and choice.
Support that meets students where they are
Wellbeing that’s built in – not bolted on
We understand that the teen years are full of growth, change and new challenges — and students need the right support around them to thrive. At Immanuel, wellbeing is part of everyday life, not something that’s added on.
Our dedicated Wellbeing Team, including our Chaplain and College Counsellor, works closely with students across all year levels — offering guidance, encouragement and someone to turn to when it matters most.
Programs like the Year 9 Rite Journey give students the space to reflect, grow and develop resilience during one of the most important transitions in their school journey.
This is more than a program.
It’s a culture of care that helps students feel safe, seen, and ready to rise.
CONNECTION THAT GROWS WITH THEM
HOUSE GROUPS IN SECONDARY SCHOOL
By the time students enter Secondary School, their House isn’t just something they belong to – it’s a place they come home to every day. Whether they’re a Moreton Crocodile, Stradbroke Shark, K’gari Dingo or Bribie Kangaroo, their House identity deepens through daily homerooms, House meetings, leadership opportunities and vertical mentor groups that bring years 7 to 12 together
It’s a structure built for support, connection and growth – where students are seen, supported and surrounded by peers and mentors who know them well. House life becomes a steady rhythm in the busy pace of Secondary School, offering moments to lead, encourage others, and be part of something bigger than themselves. In these shared experiences, students develop real-world confidence, resilience and belonging – backed by a community that stays with them all the way to graduation.
Learning that leads the way
INNOVATION AT OUR CORE
Our flexible learning spaces and breakout zones support all kinds of learners, from quiet thinkers to big-picture collaborators, making it easier to connect with content in ways that stick. This is where students learn to experiment, adapt and lead. Because the future doesn’t wait – and neither do we.
More than using tech – mastering it.
Two Devices, Unlimited Potential
Every student at Immanuel works across both a MacBook and iPad — switching between research, design, and collaboration with ease. But this isn’t just about keeping up with the digital world — it’s about leading in it.
Students learn how to think critically, work smartly, and use tech as a tool for impact. Online safety, responsibility, and smart habits are embedded from the start. When they leave, they’re not just tech users — they’re confident digital creators.
Cocurricular Opportunities Beyond the Classroom
Over 50 Ways to Explore Your Passions
From music and drama to mountain biking, robotics, debating and service clubs — our students have over 50 cocurricular opportunities to try something new, build skills, and make friends for life.
It’s how we help students grow into well-rounded, confident young people — not just strong learners, but strong leaders.
One size never fits all – and neither should education
Pathways that fit who they are
At Immanuel, we don’t believe in a single definition of success. We back every student to discover what success looks like for them — and we support them to go after it with confidence.
Whether your child’s goal is university, a trade, a creative career, or something completely outside the box, our Pathways team is in their corner. With personalised guidance, work experience, university connections and one-on-one mentoring, students are equipped to make informed choices about what comes next.
Not just planning for what’s next—preparing for anything
Purposeful pathways for the future
We don’t just push for high ATARs – we champion growth, direction, and purpose. That’s why our graduates are found all over the world doing incredible things: Olympic athletes, ground-breaking scientists, startup founders, musicians, medical professionals, entrepreneurs and so much more.
Because at Immanuel, it’s not about fitting into a mould.
It’s about shaping a future that fits who they are.
The best lessons come from helping others
Learning Through Service
Through our Service Learning program, students learn how to step outside themselves and make a real impact — from volunteering at the Nambour Soup Kitchen to connecting with residents at Immanuel Gardens, supporting environmental causes and fundraising for global initiatives.
It’s about empathy, gratitude, and action. Because lifting others up is a powerful way to grow.real growth doesn’t always happen at a desk
Learning beyond the classroom walls
At Immanuel, Outdoor Education is more than fresh air and campfires . It’s a key part of how we help students grow into capable, grounded young adults. From Year 7, students take part in outdoor experiences that develop independence, teamwork and self-awareness in ways the classroom simply can’t replicate.
The pinnacle of this journey is the four-week Mt Binga experience in Year 10 — a tech-free, back-to-basics program that strips away distractions and reconnects students with what matters most. Without phones or social media, they learn to lean into face-to-face conversations, deeper friendships and personal reflection.
They come back with more than memories. They return with a stronger sense of self, a clearer perspective, and the confidence to take on whatever’s next.
This isn’t just an escape from the everyday. It’s a return to what’s real.
