INNOVATION HUB

Immanuel Lutheran College Facilities - Children in our extensive library enjoying interactive learning

The Innovation Hub is in The Ken Thamm Centre (KTC) and is a multi-functional space providing services to Immanuel students, staff and the community through a wide range of physical (books, textbooks, media equipment) and virtual resources that are accessed via a library website. Staff are available to locate books; to access a wide range of electronic databases including journal articles and information for assessment pieces; to providing a daily Makerspace environment; author visits as part of the Voices on the Coast Literature Festival; and regular engagement activities in the library. The Innovation Hub nurtures a love of reading from an early age, but it also teaches information literacy and how to access the best possible information in the current electronic world. More than 70,000 learning resources can be accessed by students, staff and Immanuel families.

The KTC was officially opened on 23 February 2003 by Mrs Irma Thamm in honour of her husband, Pastor Ken Thamm, who was a founder of the College in 1979.
