At Immanuel, serving others isn’t just something we talk about – it’s what we do. Through our service learning programs, students discover how they can make a genuine impact in our local community and beyond. It’s about putting our values into action and helping our students understand they can create positive change.
Why Service Matters
Helping others changes everything. Whether it’s dishing up meals at the Nambour Soup Kitchen, sharing stories at Immanuel Gardens, or leading sustainability projects through Eco Club, our students don’t just talk about making a difference – they live it.
Along the way, they’re building confidence, empathy and the kind of leadership that lasts well beyond the classroom.

Students welcome visitors from our Japanese sister school, forming cross-cultural friendships and practising hospitality and language skills.
An unforgettable service experience where students connect with Indigenous communities through hands-on support and cultural understanding.
Run by Immanuel Lutheran Church, these programs offer fun, faith-filled opportunities for students to connect, grow and build community. With activities tailored to different age groups, there’s something for everyone from upper primary to high school.
Eco Club students are changemakers, working on sustainability projects that make a real impact – from recycling to wildlife awareness.
Our youngest environmental advocates explore the natural world and take action to protect it, one project at a time.
Cooking with care. Students, staff and families come together to prepare meals for those in our community who need a helping hand.
Students host and travel as part of our German exchange program, building independence, friendships and global awareness.
An immersive cultural experience that deepens language skills and brings history and geography to life through travel.
A Friday afternoon program where primary students explore faith through games, music and age-appropriate discussion. It’s a joyful space where friendships and spiritual growth go hand in hand.
Life-changing international experiences in places like Indonesia and North Sumatra. Students combine service work with cultural learning and personal growth.
Immanuel’s Youth Rotary group is about action, leadership and community. Students plan and run service projects that make a difference locally and beyond.
A beautiful partnership with Immanuel Gardens Aged Care. Students visit, connect and learn from older generations – building empathy and friendship.
Environmental leadership in action. Students collaborate on sustainability projects and represent Immanuel at regional conferences.
Serving more than meals. Students head to Nambour to help at the local soup kitchen – gaining real insight and making real impact.
The voice of the students. Elected representatives lead initiatives, organise events and help shape school life through leadership and teamwork.
Students welcome visitors from Japan, sharing culture, language and fun activities that build cross-cultural understanding.
